Kitchen cutlery FAQs

How do I maintain the sharpness of kitchen knives?
Remember, you will need to get your kitchen cutlery sharpened as it begins to dull. Typically a knife dulls after about a year of use. Usually you can return it to the place of purchase and have it sharpened for about $10. However, if the store does not sharpen knives you can get the knife sharpened at a hardware store.

After I use my knife what's the best way to keep it clean?
Keep your best steel blades from sitting in the kitchen sink. You want to avoid rusting. Also, do not use the dishwasher. Dishwashers can dole a steel blade. After you have finished using a knife, clean it with soap and water, wipe it dry and return it to its original housing to insure years of good use.

Can kitchen cutlery be put on a wedding registry?
Kitchen cutlery is a popular item for newlyweds. Registries are particularly effective because only you know how many place settings you will need. In addition, you can select a good chef’s knife for food preparation.
